Final Letter from Yahoska

At the beginning of April, one of my correspondent kids, Yahoska, graduated from her Compassion project. At 18 years old, she is embarking into the big, wide world, ready to take on new and exciting challenges. I am so looking forward to her life.

However, poor Yahoska seems more nervous about this new adventure than anything else. I try to remember how I felt at age 18, graduating high school and preparing for college. I do remember the fear I felt. I am praying Yahoska feels so peace in this new step in life.

I received a lovely final letter from her, detailing some things she has learned over the years. It's great to hear about how she loved attending her Compassion project.

Hello Esteemed Sponsor Kayla,

I hope you are healthy along with your whole family. I am writing this letter to you to tell you the following: I am very sad because I am finishing at my project and finishing my childhood and youth because I was three years old when I started at the project and here I had many beautiful experiences in the areas of spiritual, emotional, and physical. My teachers have taken care of my health and my studies and also training me as a student at the project. When it was my birthday, there was always a celebration with my classmates who were also having birthdays. We had medical checkups and I received medication. In December, I received Christmas gifts and things. I was very happy because I was part of the project and I know that everything was from your help. Without you, I would not have been able to receive all of the benefits that I received here. Thank you very much. I am happy for your great support, but I am also sad because I won't be here anymore. I ask that you are please able to support another boy or girl at a project as well as you supported me, so this child will also have the opportunity to have a beautiful life like me. I ask your prayers for my family and for my studies and also for my goals. I will be eternally grateful for your prayers. I will be praying for you and your family so that they continue in the way of God and that God pours many blessings onto your family. I say goodbye with so much love and with all the pain in my heart that I have to say goodbye to you. This will be my last letter to you.

With Much Love and Affection,
Yahoska
