Project Director Letter: TZ-241

As far as I know, this is the last project director/pastor letter for the year. It's been quite a journey, hasn't it? I know they send new letters every year, so until next year, I bid farewell to these letters!

To end, a letter from TZ-241, which is the project attended by my girl Agness. She attends a project and lives in a community near a large lake. This is considered the Lake Region, by Compassion.

Dear Kayla,

Greetings in the name of Jesus. I am Rev. Zakayo, pastor of the Compassion partner church that hosts the ELCT Magu Child Development Center attended by Agness.

I would like to express my great gratefulness to you for your efforts, prayers, and sponsorships of Agness.

We are blessed to have a wonderful community, but it faces some challenges. There is a shortage of clean and safe water, and for quite a long time, water-borne diseases have been prevalent. There is a lack of health education. People do not know good personal hygiene and lack health awareness. And there is unreliable rainfall that leads to food insecurity. Moreover, due to such problems, many families are broken, leaving the children helpless.

Our church wants to change the community, physically, and mentally and meet its basic needs with fairness, justice, and equality for the glory of God. God has given us this Center, a place where we can share our love with those in need, as the bible says. We have seen notable impact to our children in the church and even outside. For about five years now, the church has witnessed a large number of children receiving Jesus as their Savior.

Economically, the Center has managed to development children with different skills, such as computers, electrical, masonry, and carpentry, which they can use for their livelihoods in the future.

The child-sponsor relationship is improved by writing letters. Letters encourage the children. They enjoy receiving and replying to letters. We thank God for giving us sponsors who devote time and resources to our children. Please write to Agness as much as you can.

I would like to ask you to pray for some of our children who are experiencing health problems. Thank you again for your kindness and commitment to sponsor Agness at our Center. The church recognizes your support and we pray for your. May Almighty God bless you!

Yours in Christ,
Rev. Zakayo
