Lazarus Graduates!

I haven't known this young man for long, I've only been writing to him for a little over a year, but I am grown to love him. He's a very smart guy and this month, he has officially graduated from the Compassion program.

He is doing quite well in life and I am so proud of him. He is currently in college and is studying for a degree in Medical Laboratory. He plans to become a lab technician in a hospital. He told me that he wishes to test people for diseases, in order to help the doctors treat and cure them. I think that sounds like a great goal! He still has a couple of years to go in his studies, but I have faith that he will do well.

So, off into the world you go, Lazarus! I will keep him in my thoughts and prayers! I am so happy for the time that we had to communicate with each other.

Another great graduate of Compassion.

  1. That's so exciting!! I love that he's already in college and he has great plans for the future. What a testimony to God using Compassion in another child's life!

    1. I love that Compassion keeps kids enrolled until age 21-22 (most countries anyway). It really gives them time to decide what the next steps are and to get them started. Whether it be college, technical school, getting a job, it just makes me happy to Compassion is willing to help them figure it all out.
